I enjoyed the book, and I love end times novels. I like how the author tied in current events as precursors to the end times that happened to the characters in the not-too-distant future. The book was written in first-person narrative, which is a hard point-of-view to write in. The narrator tended to come-off as a little unemotional at times, which might have been prevented had the book been written in third-person narrative.I felt some of the sequences weren't developed enough, and it was hard to understand some of the thought processes and actions of the characters because of this. I did think the sequence of events of the plot were very interesting and I would like to read more books by this author.

I enjoyed this book. However, I had a hard time with the dates in the book for believability. This book was written in 2012. The author has placed the dates that the health care bill became effective in the mid 2010's & the second great depression from 2008 to 2016. I had a hard time believing all the restrictions placed by the government on the citizens. This is due to the fact the that I have "lived" thru the period of time (2008 to 2012) referred to in the book. Would have been more believable if author had used dates set farther in the future. Overall, it was a very intriguing story of the end to times and I will most likely read it again. Thank you for this book.

I consider myself a born again Christian and I enjoyed certain parts of the book very much. Brian praying and carefully making choices and choosing to let his child live against the laws of the country was admirable.

I don't agree with stockpiling weapons to fight people who are desperate for money and supplies. I believe as Christians we are to share our resources that God has so bountifully supplied to us with others who need them to show our reliance on God's giving. This in turn may bless others.

Even though I had some difficulty with some of the actions I overall enjoyed the book. Thank you for such a thought provoking read!
