A Wise and Humorous Journey -- This is a story that makes you think. I love all the alternative ways of asking what life's about. Along his journey Chad coolly explores and rejects domesticity, alcohol and drugs, bohemianism, mysticism, materialism, and plenty more. And more than ideas, Chad seeks with unusually convincing and powerful passion and conviction -- other dimensions to what life's about. And loyalty and tolerance. All this is done with surprising and irreverent images, and charming and surprising choices of words. I'm thinking of the description of the stocked refrigerator in Malibu -- hilarious! I'm thinking of the seance in Venice, the trip to the hospital, Adar itself -- all wonderful stuff. And again, there are so many more of these images at every turn. Highly recommended.
