Extended description

I'd been recently hired as a reporter for the New York Daily News when I submitted this article. It ended up being featured at the top of the Sunday paper, which had the largest circulation of any edition. Although I thought I was on my way to a successful career as a newspaper reporter, I think my somewhat left-wing politics eventually left me isolated at the paper and I was soon fired.
