I really enjoyed this story. I so agree with the previous review. Mr. James was able to take me to this town with his descriptions. He was also able to make me question Tom's motives without making me fear or dislike him. I could not stop reading until I knew what was up with this strange kid. I like how the end was wrapped up neatly, without an over the top finale. It made sense and satisfied my curiosity.

An enjoyable tale, which kept me reading until the end. Mr. James has the knack of capturing life in a small English town so well that you can almost smell the cold air. Hope he will gives us more of his light entertainment.
