Rare Days in Lost Valley

A group of scholars meet at Bellwether University, not far from Ann Arbor, for an International Conference on Multicultural Initiatives. They become enmeshed in a tangle of plots that involve love triangles, the impersonation of a famous critic, the theft of a cigar store Indian, and an attempt to enter the school's mascot, a pit bull, in the local dogfights.
