Short description

When Rickie is pushed over the emotional edge by her abusive film producer husband, she goes a little crazy. She meets Shank, a man who may turn out to be the love of her life. Rickie cannot return to her old life and has no idea where the new one will lead. It appears almost certain it will lead to death barring a miracle. Rickie discovers miracles don't just happen. They are made.

A searing look at the life of a battered woman. Rickie stays when she should leave. She stays because she thinks he will kill her if she leaves. What she cannot understand is that he will kill her if she stays. Through the help of her longtime friend Judy, her fragile, recovering alcoholic son Jesse, and with the advice of Jesse's grisled old AA sponsor, Shank. Rickie attempts to make her escape. The problems begin to mount against her, from an unexpected pregnancy, to the swift and harsh revenge planned by her merciless husband. Up until now, Rickie has spent a few years living the Beverly Hills dream, married to the powerful producer. But now, as she puts the pieces together one at a time, she cannot help the feeling that she is looking at the circumstances which will lead to her death. Another oddity.
