Combat Support

Combat Support: The True Burden of Sacrifice is an open and honest portrayal of a soldier, a husband, and a father, with the courage to put his life in print, without false bravado or hope for glory. It is, indeed, a soldier’s story and an account of the author’s life leading up to and through his military service, in the truest sense of what it means to be a soldier. More

About Terry Cropf

Terry Cropf is a practicing physician assistant with a rapidly growing Neurosurgery Department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He is a current member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and a former member of the Utah Army National Guard and United States Army. His current unit, the 3rd of the 103rd Armor Regiment, is also located in Danville, it is the seventh unit he has served with in over fifteen years of service between the Army and Army National Guard. His deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the subsequent return home placed into motion the idea behind his first novel, Combat Support. A journal kept throughout the days of his deployment was the foundation for which he built this true and all telling story around.
He currently resides in Danville where he was born, raised and lived until joining the U.S. Army. He returned to live there after eight years away with his wife (Shannon), four children (Dylan, Destiny, Dakota, and Daelynn), and two dogs (Summer and Domino) while attending the Physician assistant Program at Pennsylvania College of Technology between 2007 and 2009. His enjoyment revolves around his family, the gift of time that he spends with them, and their support in achieving his goals as a Soldier and professional. In his down time he enjoys writing, keeping up with current events related to the stability of this great nation, and finding time to keep himself in good physical condition while awaiting the next call from Uncle Sam.
