I was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a short story. The author presents the reader with an entertaining story that deals with real moral issues. Is killing (man or animal) ever justifiable. One thing I've learned from reading this and other works by this author, he has an ability to take you out of your own set of beliefs of what is right and wrong, and presents you with another way to look at thing. In the world of J.R. Nova nothing is simply black and white, life instead tends to be somewhere in the middle, often grey and messy, but real.

I purchased this story expecting a good plot but not much character development. Avenging stories usually portray tough heroes who have no qualms of killing in the name of justice. So I was pleasantly surprised when the action was backed up by human introspection and internal debate. What justifies killing? Is the outcome worth the cost of your sanity? How long can you kill before you don't care anymore?
The author took a simple idea and made an active and introspective story out of it.

I love stories that even mention Secret Organizations, and this short story is no different. Such a unique twist on the hunters becoming the hunted, with greed turning on itself. It was hard to write a review on this without spoilers, because I just want to talk about what the next step will be. That is also the only thing that bugs me, is the fact that this is so short, and feels incomplete. As this may be the Author's intention, I don't consider it that bad of a issue. Read it, love it, because if you miss it, you just might regret it. Happy Reading
