Short description
Autumn Flavours is the adolescent poetry from 1968 to 1974 of Richard Del Connor, later known as The Hippy Coyote of American Zen. To comprehend human behavior he read about suicide, cannibalism, rape, murder, ghosts, and eternal love. Coyote outgrew these dark American horror stories. He stopped dating witches and Satanists, and hasn't watched the news or read a newspaper since then.
Autumn Flavours is The Hippy Coyote's adolescent walk on the dark side of humanity. During the 1970s, sexual perversion and normality were studied from cannibalism and Satanism to astral projection and spirit mediums. Coyote's involvement was vicarious with a few bizarre girlfriends into witchcraft, feminism, vampires, and unconventional relationships.
During the early 1970s Coyote also watched television and read the newspaper. Although he gave up watching TV for the next 15 years and hasn't read a newspaper since 1976, these poems portray Coyote's frustration, empathy, and need to exorcise these demonic influences he encountered and will no longer speak of.
Autumn Flavours consists of the poetry written in the early 70s when Coyote met and studied some of these negative and destructive mentalities, despots, and criminals. (Read more)

Make sure to obtain the following the poetry books of the Season Of Fours series, to reassure yourself that Coyote emerged from this American Horror Story. The Season of Fours concept of Richard Del Connor is that life exists in seasons, not years. A season can last for 1 year or ten years determined by the individual and their environment.
Season of Fours 4-book poetry series:
Autumn Flavours 1967 - 1974
Winter Flowers 1974 - 1976
Spring Fevers 1976 - 1979
Summer Forevers 1979 - 1981
These periods of Coyote's life culminated with his concepts of manhood, marriage, and determining his destiny in the Summer Forevers poetry book.
These Season of Fours poetry books represent Richard Connor's view of the world during those years of his life, not how he views the world now.
