Description

Brydon's quest was simple. Borrow the fabled Gauntlet of Ven-Kerrick, bring it home to prove his worth, marry the princess, and ascend the throne. He had planned for the dangerous terrain and Redolian assassins, but he did not expect the Gauntlet to be missing, nor to find the Kerrick royal family murdered. Luckily, his worst enemy was there to help him out.

Fabulous! Great story w/ wonderful interaction between Brydon & Toryn.
Am VERY excited about a sequel. Probably the only drawback to reading is the sequel has not yet been released.

Very well done. Believable characters and nicely paced story. The story didn’t bore or overwhelm. I would have no problem purchasing the sequel.

Absolutely without a doubt LOVE this book!! While I love fantasy there are times when the characters powers overshadow the character themselves but not in this book. There is a perfect balance of the characters personality and the powers they have. I love the interactions, descriptions, and general story line. I can't wait for the next book!!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Gauntlet Thrown. The story was mesmerizing and I became lost within my own mind reading it. I certainly hope there will be another book following; there is just so much more to happen!

As far as making a movie out of the book, most movies leave way too much detail and story out (Mists of Avalon is one good example of leaving so much out). I would much rather reread the book than watch what someone has pulled together for a movie.

Thank you to the Authors for sharing your work with us. Your book has become a favorite and I cannot wait to share it with my daughter.

Highly reccomended. It should be made into a movie. It's simply amazing. Start of an amazing series!

This book is simply amazing. It should be made into a movie. Or at the least a video game. I could see some amazing combat mechanics using the Vai prowess.

It was a very good story, and the rest is yet to be told! I cannot wait for the second book to be published! The saltiness in Brydon and Toryn's relationship is very amusing, considering you practically need the jaws of life to pull their friendship apart. The only reason I could not give 5 stars was because of the errors in grammar, though occasional, shows there was not the best editing involved. It caught me several times, but the essence of that story is great!

This was a very good read for a free book. I am looking forward to the ongoing adventures of Brydon and Toryn. I hope the adventure continues.

Will there be a sequel? I hope so. This was an entertaining novel, but we are working on a year and a half since the publication date now. I don't know if that indicates that the author is no longer writing (either the series or generally) or if the sequel is in progress. I sincerely hope that there is more to this story line.

This book is so well written it's hard to understand why it's free. It has everything a good fantasy story needs - a knight on a quest, unlikely companions, and unforeseen trouble when they finally reach their goal. I'm looking forward to the sequel!
