Description

Aimee aged eight finds a very old, sand encrusted brass telesope buried in the ocean beach at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay near Melbourne, Australia. Her father takes it to the museum for evaluation and during restoration it is found to be Portugese. The story has a flashback to a visit by a Portugese ship and a brush with aboriginals in which a crew member loses his life.
