Zombies of Clay - A Parody

Ever wonder what zombie life was like in 1900 Dublin?

Zombies of Clay is a parody of James Joyce's short story CLAY. Many of the words are the same, but our main character, Maria, is now a zombie and the story is told from a zombie standpoint. This story is NOT for the squeamish.

The original story is less than ten pages and is reprinted in its entirety at the end. More

About Guy Antibes

It seems that I've always liked a light version of fantasy. In my younger years, I really liked the prose of Jack Vance. His SF work was a combination of fantasy and SF. He wasn't an acquired taste for me as he was for many. My writing can by a bit wry as his was, but I find that I really like to write action/adventure. Generally my heroes and heroines end up with a sword or some other instrument of mayhem in their hands.

I don't go for too much in the way of dragons, elves, gnomes, unicorns, dwarves and other magical creatures. Sorcerers aplenty, but that's where I generally stop. Typically there is a little romance involved to lighten up the fighting and ensorcelling.
