Short description

Orphan Jane Eyre grows up at a charity school and takes a job as a governess to the daughter of Mr. Rochester a wealthy, but lonely man at Thornfield Hall. While she is there, she learns that nothing is as it seems. This one-act play is suitable for youth productions. A school production of this play will shed new light on a classic novel.

Extended description

9 female, 5 male cast! Royalty free for student productions in public or charter schools before Sept 3, 2013!

Jane Eyre is a classic novel that has earned high praise for it's depiction of a strong female main character.

This stage adaptation is specifically written for school productions in public or charter schools with more girls interested in drama than boys (as is often the case in school drama clubs). The script calls for nine female and five male actors -- but it is designed for flexibiity (fewer can be used if necessary and more can be added if wanted). A production of this play will run less than an hour and would be an excellent choice for new drama groups looking for a simple, interesting play to stage.

Public or charter schools looking to produce this play as a student production may do so with no royalty fee. All we ask is that you pay for 15 copies of the script (one for each actor and one for the director).

Jane Eyre is a girl who at a young age is taken to a boarding school because her mother can not make combie attitude, always based on lies and deceit. Inside the conservatory meets his best friend that is sick because of an illness contracted in the conservatory. After the death of her best friend Jane promises that whenever someone is on the verge of death must remain at his side. The story is based on dialogues between different characters, this makes it increasingly get involved in the role of the characters. I recommend the book as can be seen as a little girl mature through several stages is good and bad but always bearing in mind that should help people even in bad times and why not be at his side when in bed of death. Top 5 highly recommended.
