Unordinary Tales

A compilation of eight short stories regarding Life, Death and the uncertainties of humans. From Blackout's J with psychotic episodes sending her into hours of shock to the Wolfe family in their first couple of hours trying to pull together after the surprise death of the mother figure Julia, these short stories are not your average short tales, they're quite the opposite.

About Lauren Farley

Lauren Farley was born of the first of March in the California Bay Area to two Californian natives Bill and Nan. Contrary to what she tells folks she was not born in Pleasantville but Pleasanton, though she still likes to think of herself as stuck somewhat in the 50's. When she was a year old her dad relocated the family to the suburbs of Elk Grove where they currently reside, patiently waiting for Lauren's sister to graduate High School and for her mom to finish up her doctorate program.

Having written stories since the age of 5, Lauren decided one day in December of 08 that maybe she should upload some of her stories for the world to see. Who knew, maybe someone would want to read something she thought up during class/lunch/bedtime...

Currently attending the local community college where she aims to gain a AA in English. She plans to then transfer to a state college to obtain a BA in the same field as well. Nothings been said on whether she'll try for a MA degree yet.

Lauren enjoys making making spoofs/spinoffs of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer (aka Reality Sucks, which used to be on Smashwords, but can now be found on fictionpress.com), though she detests the series with all her being, and writing anything that comes to mind, be it midget zombies or mermaids with wings. She also loves to read, snack, cruise the internet and can usually be found with her hand glued to either her laptop, a book or a bag of Cheezits. She also loves talking about herself in the third person. :)

Lauren can be contacted at lauren*howboutnow.com for just about anything except motherly/professional advice.
