Great book!. Moves along very well, good build to the plot and it makes you want to keep reading. But... Cant find the next in the series... Please republished it! James, you have great talent please continue! Just don't let this story die here.....

I enjoyed the story. You really identify with the characters. It does switch often between three threads but it keeps you reading to see what happens next. Note the story doesn't end at all in vol 1.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and was hoping the next in the series would be available after I finished. I won't give away any of the plot as I feel that what is provided in the brief synopsis is enough to attract readers who enjoy this genre.
The characters in the book are well developed, and the transitions between each individual storyline is smooth. I personally felt that the author expounded upon the myth of dragons in a way that allowed the reader to retain their familiarity with them but yet provided fresh ideas that were entertaining and fascinating.
I'll be keeping an eye out for the next books from any available source: free or not!

I agree... great read! Couldn't put it down & read it through in one afternoon. If I like the free (first) book will pay for the sequels & was expecting to. Disappointed not available.. so publish these soon & make some money!!

What a great fantasy book that is suitable for teens and adults alike! The writing is detailed, descriptive, and full of wonderful vocabulary. It doesn't get bogged down with too many details, however. The parallel story between a boy and a dragon, whose lives are entwined, was intriguing. The only downside to the book, is that it has an ending that leaves you begging for the next book, which I can't find!! I was thrilled to find a self published book that was written as well as this one was. Looking forward to reading more from this wonderful author :-)
