They soon realize that their plane had not crashed into the ocean, but an island floating on a cloud high above the Atlantic. The children are able to find a trusted friend in Eptasia, the medical officer in the village assigned to help the children get well after the crash. Eptasia is able to use the secret medicines of the cloud to fix the injuries inflicted during the horrible plane crash. After the children are well enough to walk around the village they discover its true beauty. But, the two soon find out there is trouble even in paradise. Soon after the crash Eptasia goes to report to the king of the children’s improvement and learns that the king means to keep them there, afraid that if they leave so will the secret of the island. Eptasia comes up with a plan to cross the cloud through the valley to the sleeping forest to call upon the help of Firewalker, the outcast prince of the island, but along the way they must deal with all of the dangers and oddities of the cloud all the while being chased by solders of the village prepared to bring them back at all costs. After the group makes it safely to the Firewalker’s cottage they begin creating a plan to build a device able to lower the children down to the surface below, but in the middle of building the device Willow is captured by the evil cave-dwellers. Michael, Eptasia, and Firewalker along with the help of a pack of large antlered wolves go to battle to help save Willow from the monsters, but will it be too late?
