John spends his early years learning his lessons of life from his psychic classmate, Crystal,
and from the stories of an old neighbor, Mrs. Madison. Crystal often knows what John
is thinking and what he is about to say. John spends his early years learning his lessons of life from his psychic classmate, Crystal,
and from the stories of an old neighbor, Mrs. Madison. Crystal often knows what John
is thinking and what he is about to say. She is a gifted musician, and she composes a song,
“Foundation of Tears,” on her flute for him. Years later, a young woman named Leslie
mysteriously writes this song again for John. He has many memorable dreams during his childhood years, but one in particular reoccurs throughout young adulthood: A brown-haired, young lady named Amy rushes toward John with her kiss while holding two Standing Room Only tickets in her hand. Much later, Amy urges John to return to Iowa where he will begin to unravel the mystery of the song, “Foundation of Tears.”
