About Sarah Pernell

Sarah Pernell is a Londoner born and bred, now living in Rugby. She is married with two grown-up children.

Sarah has always been fascinated by history, particularly the early mediaeval period, and was prompted to write her first novel after reading one so poorly researched that she felt she just had to do better.

Sarah's first book, "The Gift and the Promise" is set at the time of the Norman Conquest and was originally published by Piatkus.

Sarah is now about to self-publish her second novel which follows the fortunes of the direct descendants of the characters in "The Gift and the Promise" over a hundred years later, and it may well be that future books will see this family's progress through the centuries to the present day.

Sarah is currently working on her third book which is based in the time of the First World War.
