To personify the emotions both vividly and tangibly, the protagonist is a sales rep who, as is typical for people prone to these types of dynamics, is a high-functioning individual seeking to overcome his perceived shortcomings and achieve greater success in his life and career. The storyline sees him enacting the normal human drive to overcome obstacles as he strives to prove that he is the person he knows himself to be and not the individual that has been prone to rejection.
