Short description

"Must Love Dogs" meets "Marley & Me." When Maggie Baxter, a practical, rule-following accountant, finds out what her chocolate Lab ate, her world turns upside down. Maggie thought she had the rest of her life meticulously planned out, but now she needs to figure out Plan B. With her dog, Kona, as her guru, Maggie embarks on a funny, heartwarming quest to find tail-wagging joy.

Extended description

“The vet handed Maggie Baxter a plastic specimen bag containing a pair of size-tiny lavender thong panties extracted from her dog; but they were not hers. Or rather, they were hers now since she’d just paid $734 to have Dr. Carter surgically remove them from Kona’s gut.”

I'm not one to use acronyms and I especially despise that all too used LOL but I feel that after reading 'What the Dog Ate' by Jackie Bouchard I feel like I indeed have LOL'd and even did a little ROTFL! 'What the Dog Ate' is funny and refreshing. From the opening chapter where the main character finds out her husband is cheating when their Vet pulls out another womans sexy underware to the disaster that is Maggie's dating life after her husband asks for a divorce. You will fall in love with Maggie and her side-kick Kona. If you are looking for a read that will put a permanent smile on your face then check this one out. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy and don't worry you can thank me later :)
