I like books with strong female leads and was a great fan of super hero comics when I was a kid, so I downloaded the sample. The first chapter had me chuckling to myself as I realized that the author must have been a fan of the Batman TV series from the 1960's, because I could see that this was where he was drawing inspiration from. It got me hooked so I bought the kindle version and settled down to read it.
Things get pretty dark from that first chapter on, when the super heroines get captured and drugged. They are gang raped by both men and women. All of their degrading treatment is filmed and put on an internet site, which subsequently rakes in millions of dollars for the evil super-bitch who is behind their capture.
I enjoyed the book and have subsequently bought another of Don Ship's books featuring the protagonist, Justice Girl.
It was nice to see the book realistically priced and with a good length of read. So many authors on Smashwords write 2 - 3 thousand words (or less) and want you to pay $2.99 for them. Completely unrealistic!
There were some typos in the book and some glaring spelling mistakes i.e bounds when he meant bonds, which is why I have given this book 4 stars instead of 5.
