A young woman's life is changed forever by her encounters with three men: the one she marries, the one who seduces her, and the one she loves.When small town Wyoming girl, Angie Mitchell, is swept off her feet by the older divorced rancher, Jake Washburn, she has little idea her romantic dreams will vanish in the distance as soon as she's installed on his huge ranch in the middle of nowhere.
While Angie learns what is required of a ranch wife, and struggles to forge relationships with Jake's three estranged children, she also begins to desperately desire a child of her own, a hope that is dashed by Jake's reluctance to be a father again. As lonliness and isolation become more constant companions than her new husband, Angie fights a growing attraction to Jake's young ranch manager, Sean Winterhawk Medina.
In the end, a series of disasters brings hidden things to light, as nature has its own ways of breaking and mending Angie's restless heart.
