Extended description

In Book One, The Fallen Star, eighteen year-old Gemma’s life has never been normal. Up until recently, she has been incapable of feeling emotion. And when she’s around Alex, the gorgeous new guy at school, she can feel electricity that makes her skin buzz. Not to mention the monsters that haunt her nightmares have crossed over into real-life.
But with Alex seeming to hate her and secrets popping up everywhere, Gemma’s life is turning into a chaotic mess. Things that shouldn’t be real suddenly seem to exist. And as her world falls apart, figuring out the secrets of her past becomes a matter of life and death.

In Book Two, The Underworld, Gemma thought her mind was gone, but she was wrong. And now she is left trying to figure out the truth to what Stephan is planning to do with her and the star, before it’s too late. These books were so action packed! There was constantly something happening and somewhere the characters had to go in order to try to save the world. I really appreciated that even though there was so much happening and they could travel into visions and almost other worlds that it still made sense and it was easy to follow. I felt so bad for Gemma and Alex who really just want to be together and can`t be, it was heartbreaking and their chemistry was pretty good. The only thing I did wish was that they had a bit of time to just chill sometimes and that it had mentioned a timeline along the way - mid December is the deadline to save the world, but there is never really mention along the way of the season or month, or how much time is left until the deadline. Otherwise, these were pretty good books and I did buy and read the 4th so I knew how they turned out.
