There is no emotional escape in this read. I found myself at times horrified and close to tears with profound sadness. A real journey of desperation and reflection. The author found a way to take a common struggle and made it so unique, at times an unattainable truth within. This story stuck with me days after, just thinking, reflecting and mourning my own wanting soul. Definitely a re read kind of book.
