A cracking novel a good story well written, good characters. For a first novel it certainly ranks alongside some of the established authors I have read. My only reservation, common to most police thrillers, is the tensions between the police characters, bumptious boss, put upon rookie, lazy trainee all so common these days. A pet gripe of mine but it doesn't detract from the book.
