Helios by Che Parker is a breath of fresh air. In this collection of short stories there is no sense that the author has rushd to get the story out as we find with many authors; the storytelling style is relaxed and insightful.

Mr. Parker has an uncanny ability to draw his readers into the stories and the audience feels as though they are beside the characters in quite a few stories in this collection. Never before have I been so enthralled by such a collection of shorter pieces of literary work; had such a compulsion to want to find out what happened to the characters at the story's conclusion. The touching story of the mother whose daughter is suffering from teminal cancer is touching enough in and of its own that I truly hope the author gives serious consideration into turning this into a sesrious of short stories or even a full length book. As a mother I could clearly feel each emotions of this character and was stunned by the deep thought that was given to her creation.

My other favorite was the story of the young man and his sister. Being an only child it can be difficult for me to grasp the love between siblings but due to the heartfelt story was I able to visualize these characters and their deep love for each other.

This book is well worth the money spent and will have you rereading it in no time at all. (I have read it 3 times in the last 2 months.)
