About Alannah Foley

Avid writer, photographer, Campervan Capers blogger... and experienced Cycling Widow.

Born in Australia, Alannah Foley was raised in England and lived Down Under for five years in her twenties. Before returning to Old Blighty, she discovered long-lost family, stayed on a camel farm, worked on a City Farm project, and got bitten by every mozzie around.

Over the years, Alannah has channelled her inspirations into various formats – be it a short story, article, poem, or song. After her short stories began ranking well in local & international competitions, she decided to take things a step further, and has now written & self-published works of fiction as well as books based on her travels & life experiences. She likes to thread humour into her work and most enjoys writing fiction with characters who 'tickle' her in some way.

Alannah has also guested with Marj James on Cornwall's Radio St Austell Bay reading her poetry and prose.

Whenever time allows, she also enjoys a spot of photography and her images have been used to best effect in the Campervan Capers blog and on her book covers.

The author currently lives in Cornwall, England, with her cycling-obsessed partner.

Review by: phil mcaverty on Aug. 09, 2012 :
What an entertaining road trip! Although not as camp as I'd expected from the title, Alannah's adventures in the van (not to mention her humorous asides and quirky observations) kept me turning the pages to read more. Just ever so slightly disappointed there weren't more photos of Steve. Keep on campering, Alannah!
