Extended description

Strange things are happening in Los Angeles: a vintage guitar shop owner finds a strange woman lingering near his shop as he closes up for the night; a homeless man attacks a waitress returning home from the late shift; the residents of a West Los Angeles apartment complex are awoken in the middle of the night to discover a group of strange people attacking a man in the building’s courtyard. Videos of the attacks have begun to filter onto the internet. The media is blaming the outbreak of violence on terrorists. The actual cause is far more insidious.

Anti Sentient is not just another zombie story.  It is a compelling tale of characters, their stories and their lives that unfold all in the midst of The City of Angels under attack.  The author created the characters that seem like people you know, which draws you even further into the story.
Transformations told from the characters' perspective was a very nice touch.   Also, the cause of the zombies coming into existence is actually very alarming because with everything going in the pharma big business FDA murkiness of today, it's not impossible.  Finally, the richness of detail in the gruesome zombie depictions really made me shudder.  Before I give too much away, it is a fun read and I give it two thumbs up.
