The author takes what could be seen as a mundane and simple description of his trip and elevates it to one that is full of imagery and excitement. He keeps the language at a level where it appeals to both the experienced sailor and one who has never set foot on a boat before. Well done Robert!

The author brings to life a part of Nova Scotia many, if not most, Bluenosers never have the opportunity to see for themselves. Using many terms associated with boating and the ocean (most places I, as a born-and-raised Nova Scotian, had never heard of before), I found myself charmed by the idea of a calm boating experience which included being escorted by both dolphins and seals. Would love to read more adventures by this author who could draw on his boating experiences and write for a Canadian tourism magazine.
