Short description

“Fifty Shades of Grey” has a cult-like following - among women. Guys just don’t seem to get it or enjoy it as much. This funny, tongue-in-cheek “Secret Guide” summarizes the plot and offers skewed tips and advice specifically for guys. In reality, both men and women, especially if they’ve already read the book, will find some great laughs from this unique and humorous “guide."

Extended description

From the Introduction:
Okay, first of all, if you’re looking for the book “Fifty Shades of Grey” by E.L. James, this ain’t it. Sorry about that, dang those stupid search engines, now go and try again. Second, what you’re reading here is just for guys. If you’re a woman, please stop reading right now and go back to the real book. There’s nothing here to interest you.
Are they gone? Good. Okay guys, now pay attention. This is important. You may be here because your girlfriend or wife was excited about the previously mentioned book. Perhaps she even wanted you to read it. She probably said it would spice up your sex life, and what guy wouldn’t be in favor of that?
Trust me - you do not want to read the book. It was written by a woman, for women. Most guys will find it dull, stupid, tiresome and waaaay too long. The ratio of tedious inner female monologue to sex scenes is about fifty shades of boring to one.
However, here’s the rub: You do need to know something about .. (Read more)

Thanks for saving me the trouble of reading Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm a woman and, surprise, surprise, stuck with you until the very last laugh. Thought that maybe for the guys - and us girls too discerning to read the real 'crap' - you could have given us a more detailed plot description of the sex scenes - after all, isn't that really the only thing the women are reading for?

As a writer myself, I'm still shocked at how well some very poorly written books can sell. Think Fifty Shades of Grey is the Twilight of the sexually repressed housewife.

It bothers me that people rate a book poorly because they didn't read the plot summary, and thus the book "wasn't what they thought it was about." the description sums it up perfectly. This short book is a lampoon of the first "50 Shades" books, that's the short and sweet description. And it's a pretty funny (dry humor/tongue in cheek) little piece of writing.

Really funny! I read the real book, and he nailed some of the inadvertently humorous aspects if it. Jokes about the writing, the plot, self-help books, and men. Wicked good satire. My only criticism is it is too short. It's not a full length book, (I wish it was!) but it does say it's a "guide." A lot of laughs for a little price.

Was hoping for a recap of the sex scenes with the high-level details in the middle. More like a couple sentences per chapter. "They talk, have sex, talk more, then go to the living room." Not even sure I could recall the overall story with this little detail.
