A young British newspaper correspondent foils a global conspiracy in the picturesque setting of the Costa del Sol – and Sylvia doesn’t simply play cat-and-mouse with an international villain; she deals with the consequences of a quarrel with boyfriend Christopher and assesses the dazzling magnetism of Santiago her Spanish fixer.
Sylvia Parker is sent to the Costa del Sol to interview Hollywood heartthrob Nicholas Platt for The News. It’s a glamorous assignment but one that leads to a quarrel with boyfriend Christopher, who wants Sylvia to stay in London. Waiting to board her early-morning flight to Malaga, Sylvia regrets ending a long and beautiful romance. In Spain, photographer Santiago offers the prospect of consolation, but not before Sylvia is inadvertently plunged into an international conspiracy involving Platt and his underworld associate Antonio Esperanza. Sylvia gets a bigger scoop than she’d bargained for and is kidnapped for her pains. Santiago and Christopher turn out to be remarkably good in a crisis.
