I grew up in Indiana and attended college at IU Bloomington. I live with my husband and two cats. I've always loved reading and writing. Genre fiction is my favorite; including science fiction, horror and fantasy. I love stuff like Tales from the Crypt comics and Robert E. Howard's pulp fiction.

I am uncertain why the author has labeled this story "sci-fi". The action takes place on a couple of different space stations and planets, apparently far in the future; however, it may as well have happened in a present-day city on Earth. Nothing much appears to have changed in this version of the future, except that all of the same old gadgets have fancy new names. People still interact in all the same ways; public transport is much the same as ever; the same gender, racial, and ethnic divides still exist; even the food is no different, other than "some alien stuff", which is all the description we get. I really think this would work better in a contemporary setting.
