Trapped on Earth
Tanis is a pilot, but not a human one. When he and his partner crash just outside a small town, it's a race against time to stay ahead of the FBI. But when his partner gets hurt, Tanis has to figure out how to take care of him- and how to deal with the feelings developing between them. Excerpt for adults only:
Evit kisses him again, and Tanis lets him. He still feels guiltily like he’s taking advantage of the other man, somehow, but it’s washed away under his new, frantic need to kiss him back. Evit’s teeth are sharp, but so are Tanis’, and his tongue is too resilient to be punctured when it grazes those sharp points.
Evit makes a pleased, hungry sound. Tanis’ breath catches as Evit fingers the leading edge of the gill-slit under his jaw. They’re sensitive things, and the lightest touch makes him shiver.
This is possibly the stupidest thing he’s ever done. He’s hiding in a hollow in the earth that’s less cave and more lean-to, and he’s wrapped around a man who’s not only injured but his pilot and his partner, and yet he can’t bring himself to care.
Evit’s mouth is too hot on his. His hands are burning brands, and it’s equal parts hope and desperation that makes him tug at Evit’s bottom lip with his teeth; it has to be the same thing that makes Evit mouth his way down Tanis’ neck to swipe his long curling tongue across Tanis’ gill-slits, so that all he can do is groan, hips jerking.
