The Ancient One, book two of the Blood Journey saga, opens in Atlantis, circa 1450 B.C.E., where Chief Engineer Artas has just double-checked his calculations. After nightfall, he will meet with The Council, a race of Ancient Ones who had found sanctuary on earth over a thousand years before. They are about to learn there are cataclysmic forces even they are unable to control. And so the diaspora resumes. . .
In Egypt, 2006, Vasilie and Hatshepsut express concern for Guenther, still haunted by Stefan, the one who made him. They will soon discover that not only is Stefan now seeking Guenther, but the Dark Church of Hekatae has paid a hefty sum to hire seasoned vampire hunters to destroy Vasilie and his family—and one of them is the daughter of the High Priestess Cassandra, whom Hatshepsut executed.
While Vasilie’s family has grown, and Father Gregory and The Brethren remain dedicated to Vasilie’s cause, will their comingled powers be sufficient to battle the hunters and ward off the evil machinations of an Ancient One?
