The story reads as though several teenage boys got together one weekend and assembled a story out of all of the cool parts of movies they liked. I have to say, the dishevelment ( non polished and not proof read) feel is one of the things that kept me reading. I found myself constantly wondering what was going to happen next throughout the story.
I really liked the characters of this book; they were well developed and strong in their roles. I want to read more work from this author. I think that he should actually try to get some film students to make an indie movie from it.

On a side note, I really admire the author for writing a book ( something which I think many people want to do) I believe that too few have the work ethic to pull it off and I think those that do put in the work wont let anything go out the door which isn't perfect for fear of being judged. I like the fact that this clearly isn't perfect.
You keep on writing, brother. You have me as a supporter.
