Fat Chances is about Annie an overweight 18 year old being unhappy with herself yet still finding that someone special, while battling with demons of self doubt and unhappiness.
I enjoyed the story although I found some parts hard to read especially when Annie would put herself down. I'm glad that things worked out how they did for Annie I just wanted her to be happy within herself and find joy in the things around her.
I found the ending to be a bit disappointing, I would have liked more.
Over all a good read.

I wasn't sure what I was going to think of this book just from its title. It's true what the old saying says "Never Judge a Book by its Cover" I've just finished this book and straight off It made me laugh.

This book is about a Senior in high school who is overweight (like me) and she gets depressed about her weight. Her twin sister talks her into going to Zumba class with her and starts ranting on about the instructor. When Annie sets eyes on Cory (The Instructor) she gets the most intense feelings ever. This book really made me thing about my weight. Its true beauty is in the eye of the beholder and no matter what anyone else thinks so long as you know your loved for who you are on the inside by the person you are with then thats all that matters.

I'm greatful to my husband for loving me like this. I was skinny when I met him and I've ballooned something silly and he still loves me and wants me. It was good being able to read a book that I could personally relate to.

This book is a must read. I would like to know whats going to happen with Cory and Annie so i'm hoping there is going to be a follow up. Many thanks for an excellent book.

I'm not sure if it was due to the fact I connected to the character on a personal level, or if it was because I wish my husband was like Corey. I would love to be loved on that level. It was the type of thing that some people dream about and here it was in reality. I could not put this book down. I couldn't put the book down until the end and then I wanted more!!!

This spoke to me. Being a large girl myself I knew all the humiliation and worries and fear that Annie feels. I could put myself in here shoes and truly relate to all her statements and thoughts. And to find a guy that can see past the outside and see the beauty on the inside is a beautiful thing. Everyone should learn from this. Beauty is what is inside you. Not what your shell looks like.

Excellent book! It's not about anything supernatural or make believe. It's the kind of story you enjoy reading. It's a story you could identify with easily because either you know someone who struggled with her weight or maybe you had this problem. There's always a point in our lives when we are not happy with our body. FAT CHANCES give us a lesson. THE BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER! Great book Jamie!!!!!
