About Owen Keehnen

Inducted in the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 2011, writer and historian Owen Keehnen’s fiction, essays, erotica, reviews and interviews have appeared in hundreds of magazines, newspapers and anthologies worldwide including the upcoming University of Wisconsin collection Windy City Queer. Keehnen was the former programming director of Gerber Hart Library, and longtime Chicago volunteer to various political, social, and service organizations. He was on the founding committee of The Legacy Project and currently serves as secretary for the LGBT history-education-arts program focused on pride, acceptance, and bringing recognition to the courageous lives and contributions of international LGBTQ historical figures. He lives in Chicago with his tolerant partner Carl and their spoiled dogs Flannery and Fitzgerald.
