This book is a series of ten heart-warming stories pertaining to the colorful Bryant family as seen through the eyes of young Frank Bryant during the post depression years. This book is more specifically about Frank and his relationship with Herman, the family bull and pet. The bull was affectionately called Herman the Male Cow. In the 1930’s, the Bryant family lived near the Alabama State line on a small rocky farm in the tiny Tennessee community of Corders Cross Roads. Franklin Bryant was the uncle of Ray Steelman, the author. These stories were relayed to the author partly by written correspondence and partially by word of mouth from Frank Bryant. Each of the chapters are heart-warming stories pertaining to young Frank and Herman and the relationship and love that developed during the formative years of Frank's life.
