This is book two in the Three Cross series of books. I had just finished reading "A Heapin' Helping of Three Cross Faith" (book one) and couldn't wait to continue the story of Austin and Nikki. Austin and Nikki are secondary characters in this book, and we are introduced to Jaime, the main character. At first I wasn't sure I was even going to like Jaime, but as the book progressed, the character was nicely developed and I found myself really caring about her. Ms. Grace tackled some serious issues in Touching the Love of a Texas Sunset and I thought that it was a little more meaty than the first book (which I loved, btw!). The reader follows newcomer Jaime as she meets and falls in love with Three Cross band member Mac. However, Jaime discovers a more important relationship as she meets and falls in love with Jesus. We follow Jaime as she struggles with the demons in her past and demonstrates that even a babe in Christ can make a difference for His Kingdom. I appreciated that we even get a little glimpse into Mac's struggles in his Christian life and find that while he loves the Lord with all of his heart, he is human and has experienced a few valleys in his Christian walk. I have it on good authority that there will be more books in the Three Cross series, and I can't wait for the next one!
