Molly Jansen is used to the fast and dangerous life that comes with being a black ops operative. She's familiar with negotiating the hazards of dealing with international crime figures.

When she receives distressing news and needs to come up with money in a hurry, she doesn't hesitate to reach out to Vladic, a man connected with the Russian mafia, for work. She can handle it, she doesn't need the help of her boss and mentor Deacon Cross. She can handle the simple assignment on her own.

BROKEN is a short story that explores what can happen when an operative bites off more than they can chew, but doesn't realize it.
