About Sophie Baxter

Sophie Baxter was born in a small Australian town, grew up in a sleepy Australian city, and lived for several years in Asia where she met her adoring muse and partner. They now live together in Sydney with a keyboard-warming kitten named Erdos. There she writes short fiction, develops computer game software, and perpetrates occasional bouts of science.

Whoa.

I didn't think that I'd be reading something like this upon the first few paragraphs, but I did. This title is so poignant and well written, and although it takes a few pages to really get into the present tense style, that's when the story is taking off. That's when you're really Ryle and all of these things just start happening.

I'm sad to see that this is just erotica, that Sophie Baxter isn't writing science fiction with that immensely creative brain she has. This is truly one of the hottest short stories I've read, and it even takes you to a different place, to maybe what the metaphor or sex and love is all about.

Bravo.
