Great book... even though I have a smashwords account, I found this and downloaded it through my Nook. That being said, I didn't have access to the info on Ms. Hart, but I knew she must be from the UK from the way she writes.

Absolutely love the story (and the rest of them... have read through book 5 already! yes, in a week's time!) ....
But if the characters are supposed to be American, they should SOUND American, know-what-I-mean? Way too many obvious UK slang and phrasing. Luckily, I have been friends with a family from England, and picked up on it quickly enough to figure out how to follow the dialogue. :)

So for any who are considering reading it, just a head's up... you have to sometimes go back and re-read for it to sink in and know what she's talking about. It's not too hard to figure out, just a little different from us Yanks. *smirk* lol

I have read all 4 of Emma's books and have just purchased the 5th. I'm excited to see what happens with Lily and her friends in prophecy. She has done and awesome job with the mauve legacy, very creative writer. I like that even though she has written about witches, vampires and werewolves she has given a unique twist to their relationship with one another. Creating new not following the typical beliefs and similarities to other writers. I enjoyed books such as twilight or the writings of Kelley Armstrong and I feel Emma's books are comparable she keeps you interested.

A bit of spell checking is needed, and the ending was a bit too sudden for my liking, however, despite that I have to say this was a really good book, which I enjoyed reading!

A great story with elements reminding me of the Twilight, Harry Potter, and the Sookie (True Blood) stories. It's a fun read with strong characters and an engaging plot. I understand the author is from the UK and some British-isms do crop up from time to time but they in no way diminish the story. Look forward to reading more from this author.

I enjoyed it--and that, as any writer will tell you, is a compliment to be embraced and used as encouragement. I look forward to reading more from Emma--hey, another compliment! I've been an editor in my time and I've seen a lot of work that, to put it kindly, needed more time in the sun and rain. That said, I have always admired their effort--there are many who wish to be writers and then there are those who put backside to chair and do the work. Emma does the work.

If u r going to criticise that harshly, pls sent Emma an email. Its a good thing i didn't read your review first, i would have missed out on a great story. Emma is british as am i and the world doesn't revolve around 'American' as much as u think (yes, american).

Emma you did a good job and it is wise to listen to both positive and negative criticism. Can't wait for the next one.
Thank you for a good read

Good start. Needs a LOT of research, spell checking, and is too English to be American. Trainers? Really?? Here trainers are bras and sneakers are tennis shoes. **Spoiler** The story doesn't end, so don't bother unless you don't care.

This could be great. Do your homework and bring it back, corrected and with a real ending - if it is only supposed to be the beginning of a trilogy or something then warn your readers beforehand.
