Short description

A daughter’s mistake. A mother’s wrath. An impossible choice.

Extended description

A daughter’s mistake.
A mother’s wrath.
An impossible choice.

Sophie’s plans were simple: Leave the supernatural behind and raise a child of her own creation. For twenty years life couldn’t have been better, until the day her daughter showed up on her doorstep bloodied and bruised. They say, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” But the wrath of a mother, whose only desire was to protect her child, is unfathomable. Those pure of heart can rest easy. However, if you carry the slightest tinge of darkness, beware the Higher Calling.

I recived this ARC copy from the author for an honest reveiw. Thank you Willow Cross for this amazing read!!
WOW! Everything that Willow has made is just WONDERFUL!!!!! This book was diffrent then the rest, which made me like it even more. Don't get me wrong I love all of Willow's work, but this story is just diffrent. I have not read a lot of angle books, but this one was great. I feel bad for Sophie. How is she suppose to choose the right path? I don't want to put a bunch of spoilers in here so there is not much to tell. This is a must read! And I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did. Now go get your copy today. :)

OK to begin I was gifted A Higher Calling in exchange for my honest review of the book and I can honestly say this is something way different from all of Willow Cross' other books! I can tell that I am going to be at war with myself over Nathaniel and Ramiel both seem to have quite the body and looks by their descriptions but, I am still trying to place each of their full intentions as well as their personality's right now they both have a macho thing goin . Sophie has been put between a rock and a hard place wondering which side to take and to make it worse her daughter Shelly is going to be affected either way her mother chooses. While Nathaniel and Ramiel try to sway Sophie in two different directions she is scared for her daughter and also her possible future granddaughter if she chooses wrongly it could prove to leave no protection for Shelly or not having a granddaughter some day. As much as I hate the words to be continued this book has definitely left me wanting more. The Higher Calling is worth a look for sure! Happy Reading!

Any mother that would see her daughter abused would want justice. Sophia, however, isn’t just any mother, she is a half angel and with Sophia justice is swift. Nathaniel meets her at one of her appointments. He is another like her, a half angel. Nathaniel is there to let Sophia know that things need to change. He is placed in her path to let her know that there is a Higher Calling for her, one that will change her life forever. I look forward to the sequel of A Higher Calling. It is written well and held me from beginning to the end. Bella Doerres 10/09/2012

This book was a completely different genre than what I'm used to seeing from the author. With that said, I completely loved it!! Sofia is the ultimate heroine, in my opinion. She has the love of a mother combined with the vengeance of a ninja killer. Her "victims" never see it coming, which makes the act all the more amazing to me. I love this new streak that the author is on and literally can't wait to see what she comes out with next!

I was lucky to read this awesome book before it was released! This is the first fiction book the author has written in the first person, but her creative writing is just as great, if not better. Warning, this book is not YA, as most of you Willow fans are use to. I love the idea that she ventured out of her genre and did this book. It just shows that Willow is full of surprises and you never know what she might come up with next. I loved it!

Sophie comes to find herself having to choose one of the hardest choices a mother/woman should have to make. The question is, which choice will she choose, and will it be the right one?

If you are a huge Willow fan, like myself, you will not hesitate to get your hands on this book. It will leave you wanting more, and you will cheer, cry, and fear right along with Sophie and her life decisions. I can't wait to see what happens next. The next book can not be release fast enough!
