Every person who occupied the British throne did so under the spotlight of written history. While much of what they accomplished was noble and beneficial, some clearly was not. Unlike most people, they did not have the option of existing out of the public eye. In this book, the author brings to light events that most people would prefer to remain unheralded, but fortunately were preserved for our amusement. Added to the mix is a healthy dose of absurdity. However, readers should be aware that the distinction between real history and absurdity is difficult to find.
