Extended description

A nearsighted Regency lady stumbles into the wrong carriage and arrives at the estate of handsome Lord Bryn, who mistakes her for a governess. Meg, who has been sent home from London in disgrace after accidentally offending an important figure, decides she prefers working with mischievous children to living in idleness and isolation. But then she starts to fall in love.

This is a lighthearted tale in the traditional Regency style—no sex, but plenty of romantic complications and a happy ending.

Jacqueline Diamond’s half dozen Regency romances, originally issued in print by several publishers, have delighted readers for nearly thirty years. Jackie has gone on to sell 90 novels ranging from mysteries and suspense to fantasy, paranormals and romantic comedies. A sweet story. I enjoy "clean romance" so much more than the gratuitous sex many seem to feel their books need. I enjoy a Regency Romance now and then to Clean the Palate now and then and thought the description sounded a bit far fetched but once you begin reading, you can see how the poor dear could indeed end up where she didn't belong. And then the fun begins! I had a good time and hope you will too!

a good romance that had the characters stick to and react as the reader would expect their described role/character to react to the various situations throughout the story. The writer did a good job in crafting the characters and the story line to make reactions believable based on how you got to know each character. Well done -- I enjoyed the story and characters as the unfolded.
