A great story told with skillful pacing and imaginative dialogue. The characters' sense of individual conflict over their desire was palpable and really brought the scenario alive, lending Lena and Joe emotional dimension. My only criticism is that it ends somewhat abruptly, and that nothing about the story description makes it obvious that this is but part one of a duology. Given that there's a sequel, the abrupt ending is understandable and forgivable, but some indication that the story doesn't resolve until the next chapter would have been nice at time of download. Still, a very enjoyable tale. I will likely read Book 2 to see how the tale progresses.
