Dr. Weiss' first career is not as a fiction writer, and I'm afraid it shows.
Having said that, his clinical background and depth of knowledge mark Brian Weiss as an author you should read. Reincarnation, lives and death, are a subject (that's right, one subject) worth your attention. The book is designed to provoke thought.
I was attracted to it because of having written on past-life myself. For that reason I started a 'Goodreads' discussion on the good doctor, and this book was good enough for me to start with a quote from the first page.
For these reasons I commend the book, it is more worth your attention than the star rating might suggest.
