Delilah, a Philistine and soon-to-be Priestess of El, lives under siege. First in her home, besieged by the Israelite army, then as wife to her enemy: Samson. But it is her heart that is truly besieged, and she must choose who she loves more: her people, her gods or her husband.

This marvelous work by Maude shows how love break the barriers that were established by human norms. It portrays a rather Romeo-Juliet like romance tale of a rather dry portrayal written in the Bible story. It shows us a vulnerable side of Samson and a reasonable side of Delilah that no one has ever imagined which would make Delilah a sure page-turner from cover to cover.

I absolutely loved this story and viewpoint of Samson and Delilah. Once I started reading this book, it quickly became a "Don't want to put it down" book. Entertaining and delicious!!!
