About James Parkin

James Parkin was born in 1972 and has been writing on and off since he was 7, including TV scripts, plays and short stories, all of which were rejected!

In 2007 he graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Education Studies and History from De Montfort University. His career has been in accountancy and retail and he has done voluntary work in several local primary schools, working with children aged from 3 to 11. He has also done short voluntary spells in a day nursery and a playgroup. He is single and lives in Leicestershire, UK.

The Ghost Gang books are the first that he has written, with the first version of The New Ghost being completed way back in 2005. He is hoping to write more books about these friendly ghosts in the near future.
