Short description

Something happened in the swamp on February 14, 1900 and Agatha, the earthbound goddess of the swamp, witnessed it. On April 1st, the goddess of chaos shows up with a squalling bundle under her arms. How does this concern Swampy? It doesn't -- at least not until those pesky fairies get him involved.

Extended description

A Smashwords bestseller!

In their urban fantasy series Dime Store Novel, Rachelle Reese and John E. Miller write about a world where there are unseen realms, each governed by a deity with dominion over an aspect of the natural realm. The weave between the realms is weakening, allowing the deities to interact with humans.

From the Gator's Mouth is the story of an unlikely birth, an earthbound goddess who prefers her gator form over her clumsy two-legged one, and Swampy, a guy who likes his life just the way it is -- simple.Something strange happened down in the Louisiana bayou and it didn't involve banjoes. It was a good short story fantasy. I am glad I read it, and would recommend it for an entertainment read.

I have to agree with the other reviewer, it was a little hard to follow. Maybe more description of the characters would help readers get to know what is happening to them better.
But overall it is a nice storyline.

This was an intriguing short story, unfortunately it was a little hard to follow and some of the events seemed out of order. It's a good first draft, but it could use some polish. The dialog was entertaining and I liked Swampy, but I didn't get the sense of him or of Agatha much. The descriptions of the characters were emotionless and I couldn't taste, hear, smell or touch them. I was standing outside looking in, watching the show without sound. From the Gator's Mouth is an entertaining first draft, but not a finished product.
